The town of San Pedro Alcántara has several mini districts that are sometimes forgotten or overlooked in lieu of the popular town centre, beachfront paseo or newly developed Nueva Alcántara. Cortijo Blanco is one of those areas that has more to offer than immediately meets the eye, and it’s also perfectly situated to access both San Pedro central and the beach.
As the Spanish economy began to improve during recent years so did Cortijo Blanco and it has certainly benefited from discernible investment and the subsequent arrival of new businesses. The area has seen the advent of new cafés and hotels while the more established ventures in the vicinity have taken steps to improve their services and surroundings.
Cortijo Blanco can be found tucked neatly to the east of Nueva Alcántara, to the west of Puerto Banús and just to the north of San Pedro’s promenade. The community is thriving with cafés, shops and various restaurants, and there is even a large supermarket in the locality.
