There are some very exciting times ahead for San Pedro born Azahara Muñoz who alongside Carlota Ciganda from Navarre will bith represent Spain at the rescheduled 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo later this year.
It is a real acheivement becuase other then Marta Lopéz with three appearances under her belt, no other athlete from Malaga has competed in more Olympic Games than Muñoz. Her last appearence was in Río in 2016 where she played well and ended up as the best female Spanish golfer, finishing overall in 21st place.
If you would like to follow the women’s golf tournament from the Tokyo Olympics and keep an eye on the progress of Azahara Muñoz the event will be taking place at the Kasumigaseki Country Club between 4 – 7 August, which is two days after the end of the men’s tournament.
