One of our favourite eateries in San Pedro is Tomate Frescho located in Calle Cordoba off the main thoroughfare. Its tables and chairs are set out in the pedestrianized centre in order to catch a breeze in summer or watch the world go by.
Based on fresh, healthy produce, the menu seems a little American bistro in style featuring as it does the best selection of burgers, salads and wraps with quirky names. For instance the burgers are all named after famous women of the world: Marilyn Monroe, Indira Ghandi, Joan of Arc etc…
Our favourite dishes include:
- The Frida Kahlo burger with cheese, guacamole, chilli spices, mayo, nachos and lettuce
- The Alcuzcuz salad: couscous, grilled veg, caramelised onion, feta cheese and pesto
- Pepito USA baguette with lashings of roast beef, rocket and English mustard sauce – also served as a wrap
Tomate Frescho offers great service right through from 8.30hrs to midnight with a varied menu that includes breakfast options (yoghurts and fruit bowls), coffee and homemade cakes and cookies, snacks and sharing plates, soups, juices, smoothies, lunch and dinner – plus specials of the day.
